FETAC applications from new providers are closed until 1st September 2011. This is to facilitate the change over to the QQAI service.

New College of the Humanities, whose students will pay £18,000 a year.Grayling launched his venture with the claim that it would help save humanities education from government cuts by bringing together teachers including Richard Dawkins, Niall Ferguson and Stephen Pinker.
The New College philosophy syllabus includes: "Logic, epistemology, Greek philosophy: Plato and the pre-Socratics, ethics: Historical perspectives, modern philosophy: Descartes, Locke, Berkeley and Hume"
The question is could Ireland compete, would we have academic staff of sufficient standing? Perhaps more importantly, which private provider will be first to try and follow suit?
